Won back-to-back turf handicaps during second half of 2024. Seventh of 9 in handicap (18/1) at Newcastle (10.2f) 18 days ago. Should be at peak fitness now returned to grass but others arrive in better order.
Productive end to 2024 on the AW, winning twice and also runner-up as many times. May have needed the run on recent return from 4 months off recently and now switches to turf.
Runner-up on debut for Karl Burke but hasn't progressed after, failing to offer much in a brace of handicaps for this yard. Drops in class and one to monitor in the market.
Fourth of 7 in handicap at Nottingham (16f, good, 5/1), not ideally placed. Off 9 months but has gone well fresh several times before and she's on a good mark back down in trip.
Course winner. Bit below form fourth of 9 in handicap at Southwell (12.1f, 12/1) 28 days ago. Any ease in the ground would help his cause. Engaged 4.30 Hamilton Wednesday.
Settled better than on reappearance and stepped up when third of 10 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good to firm) 31 days ago. Back up in trip and he's been eased a further 2 lb.
C&D winner. Respectable fifth of 12 in handicap at Chester (12.3f, good, 7/1) 20 days ago, inadequate test. Others more persuasive kept to this trip. Engaged 4.30 Hamilton Wednesday.
Upped in grade and posted a respectable seventh of 14 in handicap at York (11.8f, good) 15 days ago given he was denied a clear run. One to take very seriously down in class.
Last of 7 in handicap at Hamilton (9.2f, good to firm, 33/1) 13 days ago. Significantly back up in trip but hard to warm to at present.
Without usual tongue tie when sixteenth of 19 in handicap hurdle at Down Royal (20f, good) 73 days ago, reported to have broken blood vessel. Back down in trip on first run for yard after leaving Anthony McCann and has a career-low mark to work with.

Forecasts
Masekela (5/2), Tokyo Bay (16/5), Something (11/2), Ancient Myth (8/1), Clansman (10/1), Curran (10/1), Free Speech (11/1), Valley Of Flowers (14/1), Warrior Lion (16/1), Freedom Day (50/1)
Quite a few to consider but MASEKELA performed with credit in a higher band of handicap than this at York a fortnight ago so he's taken to snap a lengthy losing sequence. Something should come on for his AW return to action, while Warrior Lion requires a market check starting out for a new stable.
- Masekela5/2
- Something11/2
- Warrior Lion16/1
