Verdict

It's hard to look beyond QUEENSLAND BOY, who did it very cosily when opening his all-weather account at Wolverhampton recently and, unpenalised for that, he is officially 8 lb ahead of the handicapper. Smith put in a good shift when runner-up off this mark back here last month and he is likely to give another good account. Likewise Balgowan, who deservedly gained a belated first career win at Southwell on his latest start and he scores highly in terms of consistency.
