Winning Irish pointer who progressed again upped further in trip when fourth of 11 on handicap debut at Bangor (23.2f, soft) 29 days ago. This looks a good opportunity.

Posted a good third in a 2m maiden hurdle here in September. Disappointing in handicaps since and now tried over a longer trip.

Promise on debut for Shark Hanlon and again when third of 11 in maiden at this course (16f, good to soft) on hurdles bow 17 days ago, barely adequate test. Significantly up in trip. May do better.

Showed little in a maiden hurdle/pair of bumpers for N. Stokes and backed out of things quickly when pulled up in a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon on recent yard debut. Cheekpieces on for 1st time.

Forecasts

Manowest (6/5), Jomig Des Bois (11/4), Money To Burn (10/3), Vice Admiral (15/2), Te Deum (50/1), Brockrock Roxie (66/1)

Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for the steadily improving JOMIG DES BOIS to open his account under Rules. Manowest has been disappointing since switched to handicap company so Money To Burn, who showed some promise on his recent hurdling debut, could emerge as the chief threat, especially with the much longer trip likely to suit.
