Course winner. 10/3, again ran creditably when fourth of 10 in handicap at Dundalk (8f) 75 days ago. Handily drawn and merits respect.
Eleven runs since last win in 2023. 16/5, creditable second of 10 in handicap at Leicester (7f, firm) 11 days ago. Winner of that race has followed up since and he's respected from just 1 lb higher.
Held his form well last year and signed off with a career-best victory in a 12-runner handicap at Musselburgh (7.1f, good to soft). Overcame positional bias there and appeals as one who'll continue to improve further this season having undergone a wind op during his 6-month absence.
Landed a quickfire double at Newcastle (7f/1m) in March but not quite at the same form back on turf on his last 2 outings. Others preferred.
Performed with plenty of credit when placed in back-to-back 6f Newcastle handicaps in February/March and shaped as if still in decent heart when fading late at Haydock last time. Work to do from this draw back up in trip, though.
Much improved in first-time cheekpieces when fourth of 8 in maiden at this course (6f, good) 20 days ago. Opening mark has suffered as a result and he's perhaps an unlikely winning handicap newcomer.
C&D winner. 16/1, career best when winning 13-runner handicap at Catterick (7f, good to firm) 9 days ago. Looks competitive on form.
7/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Newcastle (6f), very slowly away. Off 116 days. Up in trip. Easy to oppose.
2/1, won 6-runner handicap at this C&D (good) 20 days ago, overcoming pace bias. This is more competitive but she's not taken lightly.
Won at Leicester last season. Not disgraced when fifth of 11 in handicap (8/1) at Doncaster (7f, good) on return 26 days ago but others appeal as likelier winners.
Encouraging return when fourth of 10 in handicap at Musselburgh (7.1f, good) but disappointed under a switch to front running tactics over C&D earlier this month. Bounce back called for.
Unreliable type. Course winner. Latest win at Musselburgh in October. 8½ lengths last of 6 to Inanna in handicap at this C&D (good, 9/1) 20 days ago. Hard to have much faith in at present.
Unreliable sort. Fifteen runs since last win in 2024. 12¾ lengths eleventh of 13 to Sir Garfield in handicap at Catterick (7f, good to firm) 9 days ago, very slowly away. Cheekpieces back on. Something to find on form.

JOHN L SULLIVAN is fancied to make a winning seasonal return, having ended his 3-y-o campaign with a career-best victory and striking as the type that will improve further still at 4 yrs. Inanna had a couple of these in behind when overcoming a pace bias to win over C&D at the start of the month, with recent Catterick winner Sir Garfield and Leap Day completing the shortlist.
