Ghaiyyath colt who confirmed debut promise fitted with a hood when winning 10-runner maiden at Doncaster (10.2f, good) 48 days ago. Drop back in trip shouldn't pose too much of an issue and could well defy a penalty with further progress on the cards.

Bred to be useful and well found in the market but beat only one home in 7f novice at this course (7f, soft) on debut in October. Needs to leave that well behind.

Kingman colt. Half-brother to several winners. Dam, 1¼m-1½m (Irish Oaks) winner, sister to high-class 1¼m-1½m winner Nathaniel. Showed plenty to work with on debut when fourth of 13 in novice at Kempton (8f) in December. Longer trips bound to suit but open to improvement nonetheless.

Much sharper than on debut when sixth of 12 in maiden at Yarmouth (8f, good to firm) 15 days ago. May do better still.

Offered a bit to work on when fourth of 9 in novice at Southwell (7.1f) on debut 42 days ago, knowing what was required. Unlikely to take a big step forward.

600,000 gns yearling, Kingman colt. Brother to useful 2-y-o 1m winner Lautre. Improved on debut form when fifth in 10-runner novice at Southwell (8.1f) 19 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Still looked a work in progress there and capable of better still.

Forecasts

Noble Horizon (11/8), Bedouin Prince (9/4), Favorite Memory (5/1), Wicked (7/1), Eternal Force (12/1), Showyoutheropes (22/1), Double Meaning (25/1), Sunshine Mag (125/1), Formidable Don (150/1)

Verdict

BEDOUIN PRINCE is out of a very smart mare and, with further progress forthcoming, he's taken to defy a penalty at the first time of asking back down in trip. Wicked took a step forward at Southwell recently while still looking a work in progress and can improve again, with Noble Horizon and newcomer Favorite Memory others to take seriously.
