Romanor²⁰

Age: 11| Weight: 12-0| J: M G Nolan| T: J W Mullins| OR: 100| CD

20/1

On a long losing run and limited to just 2 runs in 2024, safely held on both occasions. To his credit, he shaped well dropped to this 0-100 grade when fourth of 10 back from an 11-month absence over 19.5f (good) here last month but the challenge is now for him to build on that.

Hatos^b,t⁴⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Tizzard| OR: 90

8/1

Back-to-back winner of 2m handicaps for Anthony Honeyball last February and posted best effort for new yard when third at Wincanton (15.7f, good to soft) in November. Has failed to reproduce that form since, though, and others make more appeal on this occasion.

Rocks Up Late^t⁹^{(ex 7)}

Age: 5| Weight: 10-12| J: Ben Jones| T: B Pauling| OR: 77

8/11

No show in a bumper and trio of maiden hurdles but looked an entirely different proposition in making a successful handicap/chasing debut starting out for new yard at Worcester (16.5f, good to soft) recently. Open to improvement in this sphere and will prove hard to beat under a penalty.

Form: P/6P09-1

Pleasure Garden^p⁴²

Age: 8| Weight: 10-2| J: Caoilin Quinn| T: K Jewell| OR: 72

6/1

Made a winning start over fences at Plumpton in April 2023 but hasn't managed to add to that in 6 subsequent starts and he looks vulnerable.

Form: 24/3953-

Fox Wallace^t⁷^{(ex 7)}

Age: 7| Weight: 10-2| J: Ben Godfrey| T: Ella Pickard| OR: 65

4/1

Something of a slow-burner in terms of getting it together over fences but she has gradually improved in recent months, opening her account in good style under a change of tactics (made all) at Stratford (17f, good) last week, despite being 8 lb 'wrong' at the weights. Major player.

Form: 6P523-1

Forecasts

Rocks Up Late (8/11), Fox Wallace (4/1), Pleasure Garden (6/1), Hatos (8/1), Romanor (20/1)

Recent winners ROCKS UP LATE and Fox Wallace are by far the most compelling candidates on show and preference is for the former, who is the least exposed of the pair and he did the job well equipped with a first-time tongue strap (retained here) on his chase debut at Worcester. Romanor is best of the rest.
