10/11

Took advantage of a much-reduced mark on return when winning 10-runner handicap (4/1) at this C&D 5 weeks ago, doing well to overcome his position in a steadily-run race. Remains well treated on old form and is still lightly raced on all-weather.

Form: 09590-1

Spirit Of Bowland¹²

6/1

13/2, capitalised on a falling mark when winning 11-runner handicap at Southwell (8.1f) 12 days ago, produced to lead approaching final 1f then forging clear. 10 lb hike for that rout but should be in the mix again.

Forecasts

Serious Look (10/11), City Escape (6/1), Spirit Of Bowland (6/1), Strategic Fortune (7/1), Guinness Lad (8/1), Myna (12/1), Trusty Scout (14/1), Valkyrja (20/1), Pocket Too (28/1), Laser Focus (40/1), Luna Dipinta (80/1)

This can go the way of GUINNESS LAD, who took a significant step forward on his second handicap run when finishing runner-up at Windsor last week and looking very well in before he's reassessed, Neil Mulholland's 5-y-o can go one better. Serious Look and Spirit of Bowland were both impressive last-time-out winners and they can give the selection plenty to think about.
