Dermot Weld saddled a winning newcomer in the silks of the late Aga Khan recently and ESHERANN, who ticks plenty of the right boxes on paper, could be another. He will be particularly interesting if the market speaks in his favour. Valencia chased home a subsequent Group 3 winner when runner-up here last July but appeared to find 7f too sharp on her latest start and an entry in the Irish Oaks adds weight to the theory that a stiffer is needed. Knockmark is third choice ahead of Monkstown.
