Universal mare who finished placed on completed start in points and left Rules debut form behind when winning 8-runner Fairyhouse bumper (2m) in October for Yvonne Latta. Transferred to leading yard and matched that form when third at Ascot. Obvious claims now hurdling.

Gemix mare. Half-sister to numerous winners, including modest hurdler/useful chaser Sir Note and French hurdle/chase winner Sir Khevi. Promising start to her career when runner-up in a Fakenham bumper a fortnight ago. Has to be of interest now hurdling.

Regressive form in bumpers but she's certainly in the right hands to bounce back switched to obstacles.

Modest maiden handicapper on Flat (stays 1½m). Finished second of 3 on hurdles debut at Huntingdon a fortnight ago, albeit was flattered by proximity to the winner having made mistakes.

Half-sister to fair hurdler Witch From Rome (23f winner, by Holy Roman Emperor) and modest 2m hurdle winner Mickydee (by Twilight Son). Little promise in varied events on Flat.

Half-sister to fair hurdler Haasab (2m-19f winner, by Sakhee). Very green when well held sole start on Flat for David Menuisier and limited encouragement on hurdles debut.

Belied a big price to make a successful debut at Doncaster in November. In nothing like the same form in 3 bumpers since and now switches to obstacles.

Forecasts

Belle Le Grand (2/5), Sharp Glance (13/2), Last Note (9/1), Hope Rising (9/1), Alvesta (12/1), Merely A Detail (20/1), Rightofway (25/1), Burgeon (50/1), Pepper Queen (100/1), Aquifolia (125/1)

Verdict

BELLE LE GRAND didn't improve immediately on her winning Irish bumper starting out for her new leading stable but it was still a sound effort at Ascot and she makes plenty of appeal now hurdling. Last Note finished behind a Skelton runner at Fakenham and may well do likewise again with her attentions switched to obstacles. Sharp Glance is also of some interest.
