Winner of handicaps over this C&D (2-2 here) and at Uttoxeter last summer. Shaped well on a couple of occasions since returning from a break/wind op but he looks up against it on these terms.
Rather hit-and-miss nowadays but there was a valid excuse (breathing problem) for his low-key display at Newcastle when returning from a break last month. Went close in a Kelso handicap hurdle on penultimate start and he's the clear pick at the weights.
Clear-cut winner of Exeter selling hurdle last spring but his subsequent form figures, both under Rules and between the flags, make for grim reading.
Fairly useful hurdler who took advantage of drop in grade when landing a small-field Plumpton seller in November. Below par since but, on the upside, he has a very realistic chance on these terms.
Yet to add to Fakenham maiden hurdle success gained almost 3 years ago but lightly-raced since and, to his credit, he has been placed on each of his 5 subsequent completions. Each-way claims.
Successful sole start in bumpers but remains winless following 20 attempts in this sphere and meets the majority of these on less favourable terms than he would if this were a handicap.
Runner-up in Sedgefield novice on latest start in this sphere in March (well held on the Flat since) but that was his seventeenth start over hurdles and he's to get his head front. Now tried in a visor.
Fairly useful handicap hurdler at best but has failed to beat a rival home both starts for new yard following a break, including when returning to this sphere at Carlisle a fortnight ago.
Hasn't managed to trouble the judge in 9 career starts overall and hasn't been seen out subsequent to being pulled up in a handicap hurdle at Kelso almost 2 years ago.

Forecasts
Jubilee Gold (6/4), Matchless (10/3), Allbetsoff (11/2), Sonning (13/2), Baron De Midleton (17/2), Kopa Kilana (9/1), Foxey (50/1), Mr Globalist (66/1), Brave Bairn (125/1)
Though there are misgivings where both MATCHLESS and Baron De Midleton are concerned, it's nevertheless highly likely that they will come to the fore in this contest. The latter is the clear pick at the weights but he's at the veteran stage now and it remains to be seen if this drop back to 2m will aid his cause, a factor which helps tilt the scales in the favour of Matchless. Of the others, Jubilee Gold is the most appealing.
