It's now twenty runs since last win in 2022 but he displayed more spark than on return when creditable third of 13 in handicap (12/1) at Newcastle (6f) 20 days ago. Lurking on a handy mark with cheekpieces on 1st time and respected despite a tricky draw.
Strong in betting (5/2) but shaped as if in need of run when seventh of 9 in handicap at Southwell (5f) on reappearance 40 days ago. Cheekpieces are added now and he's an intriguing contender from a handy draw.
Four wins from 23 runs last year. 28/1, last of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 81 days ago, weakening over 1f out having disputed the lead. Wouldn't want to face too much competition on the front end here and others rate stronger.
Fairly useful handicapper who is winless since his 2-y-o days but ended last term with creditable efforts on turf/AW for former stable. Starts out for new yard (sold 48,000 gns) who do well with such recruits and he's one to note back from 6 months off.
Unreliable sort failed to come on for a recent run when eighth of 12 in handicap at Musselburgh (5f, good) 11 days ago, albeit not helped by making his challenge wide. Visor goes back on but he's not one to be making too many excuses for.
Back-to-back winner of 5f handicaps last summer and enhanced his good record when fresh when second of 10 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) 18 days ago, no match for a lightly raced sort. Claims returned to 5f from handy draw.
Got off the mark in an uncompetitive maiden at Newcastle (5f) on final start in November. Unable to land a blow after 5 months off when sixth of 9 in handicap at Thirsk (6f) 18 days ago but entitled to be sharper for the outing. Still, others preferred.
C&D winner who went close here on penultimate start and shaped as if still in good form when third of 7 in handicap at Wolverhampton (5.1f) 9 days ago, not ideally placed. Big run could be on the cards with a visor refitted.
Lightly-raced for his age and shaped as if retaining his ability after almost a year off when fifth of 11 in handicap at Catterick (6f, good) 21 days ago, fading final 1f. That was an encouraging enough display if able to build on it.

Reigning Profit (10/3), Hedge Fund (10/3), Lethal Nymph (5/1), Cloud King (5/1), Ingleby Archie (7/1), Wen Moon (7/1), Arecibo (10/1), Cash In (12/1), Fenlander (18/1), Night On Earth (33/1)
Plenty arrive with claims, with the narrow vote in favour of CLOUD KING. A dual 5f winner last season, he ought to be sharper for his run on all-weather at Southwell 6 weeks ago and, with cheekpieces enlisted, he could be ready to strike from his easing mark. Reigning Profit in a change of headgear and Hedge Fund on debut for Mick Appleby are others to consider. Ingleby Archie is another worth a look.
