Fair maiden for Gordon Elliott and made a sound start for new connections when second in a 2m Hexham maiden (good to soft). Not in same form in a first-time tongue strap at Sedgefield since and stamina to prove now tried over 3m for the first time.
Seems to be in a lull at present, finishing last of 4 in handicap hurdle at Wincanton (21.4f, good) 30 days ago. Cheekpieces on for 1st time.
Down in the weights and confirmed return to form when third of 9 in handicap hurdle at Carlisle (17f, good to soft, 4/1) 31 days ago. Pedigree provides hope he'll stay the longer trip and can't be taken lightly.
Confirmed promise of yard debut when winning here in September and defied a hike in the weights when following up under an excellent ride at Market Rasen (23.1f, good) in November. Found only one too good in her hat-trick bid at Taunton in December and will remain of interest.
Finally off the mark at Kelso in October and proved better than ever when doubling her tally in 13-runner handicap at Ayr (24.3f) in February. Ran one of this season's poorer races at Sedgefield (27f) next time but quickly bounced back when third at Newcastle 18 days ago. Cheekpieces back on.
One-time fairly useful handicap hurdler but badly lost his way. Sets out for another new yard after 10 months off and can only be considered if backed.
Runner-up on second of 3 starts in Irish points and, whilst he's offered little promise under Rules to date, he may show more now venturing into a handicap over a longer trip.
Sharpened up by cheekpieces (retained) when winning Musselburgh handicap (good to soft) in February. Wasn't in the same form back there the following month, though.
Modest performer who has offered little on his last 2 starts at Hexham (off a further 9 months prior to latest).
Just one win but latest run over fences at Hexham easily excused having returned lame. Reverts to hurdling now and dangerous to dismiss if returning to the sort of form shown when fourth at Newcastle in December.
Twenty nine runs since last win in 2021 and added to a decidedly patchy record when well-beaten on a rare outing over fences at Hexham last month. Reverts to hurdling now from 6 lb out of the weights.

HAPPY INDEX ended 2024 in excellent heart and could well be up to adding to her tally if picking up where she left off. Follow Charlie and Billable Grant head the dangers.
