Put a rare poor effort behind him to double his hurdles tally at Warwick (26f) last month, when finding plenty for pressure. Up 5 lb for merits plenty of respect in this company.

Enhanced fine record at this course when capitalising on a falling mark to win a 5-runner C&D handicap 8 days ago, having dictated matters from the front. Should go well again off 4 lb higher.

Showed something akin to his best bumper form when runner-up on third start in maidens at Southwell (15.8f) in December but has proved disappointing in handicaps. finished a distant third in a weak race at Market Rasen (18.6f) last time. Needs to improve for longer trip and first time cheekpieces.

Placed on his three completed starts since joining this yard. Handicapper has given him a chance having finished third at Fontwell (21.8f) and this looks a winnable race. One to consider back up in trip.

Opened hurdles account returning from a break at Worcester (23f, good) in September but hasn't matched that form in two runs subsequently. Has been given another break and has claims if she can bounce back to form.

Proved a model of consistency during 2022/23 campaign but below-form last season and is becoming increasingly temperamental, already given a few worrying signs prior to departing at Wetherby on most recent outing.

Scored at Stratford (22f) in April 2023, but lightly raced since. Only beat one home in 2m4f Fakenham handicap hurdle in January and fared little better when fifth of 8 in handicap hurdle over C&D last time. Something to prove now.

Modest maiden hurdler/chaser was well-beaten on his return to hurdles last month. Now tried in first-time blinkers (previous headgear failed to spark improvement) and has a bit to find.

Poor maiden didn't impress with his attitude or jumping when fifth of 6 in handicap chase at Hereford (25.2f, good) last October. Hasn't shown enough to be of interest.

BOBALOT has proved consistent for current connections and this looks a good opportunity to get his head in front having received some leniency from the handicapper. Course-specialist The Wise Traveller has to be respected in his bid to follow up over C&D, while fellow last time out winner The Dark Edge should give another creditable account of himself.
