Enjoyed a most productive campaign over hurdles/fences last term, winning 7 from 10 starts for Philip Kirby. Below par initially for this yard but back on the right track of late, finding just one too good in back-to-back Newcastle handicaps the last twice, and should again make his presence felt.

Ayr maiden hurdle winner last term and has made the frame on 8 of his 9 completed starts in this sphere, going close on 3 occasions at up to 21f in recent months. On the downside, he's not the most fluent of jumpers and was pulled up following a series of mistakes at Navan last time.

Wide-margin C&D winner last spring and notched fourth success in this sphere when accounting for 7 rivals at Wetherby in January. Below par here next time but wasted no time getting back to form returned to Wetherby where he found just one too good last month. Solid claims.

Winner of pair of handicap chases around 3m last season, including at this course, and back on the up when adding to his tally in a first-time visor (retained) dropped to 2½m at Hexham (good to soft). Remains on a fair mark up 5 lb and another bold show is on the cards.

Front-runner who was arguably better than ever when enhancing his fine record round here with another all-the-way C&D success last month, for which a 5 lb rise is fair enough. That form looks decent (the second and third have both performed well since) and he has to enter calculations.

This is likely to be run at a good clip with JET LEGS and Hello Judge both likely to go forward, as they did when scoring at Hexham and over this C&D respectively last time out. The latter's form figures in middle-distance chases here reads 112711 and he isn't passed over lightly. However, Jet Legs responded well to the new headgear at Hexham and he looks capable of following up off this 5 lb higher mark. Geryville is third choice.
