Adept GRP Cabinets Open NH Flat Race (GBB Race) (Div 1)

Off time: 19:15 | Winning time: 3m 44.63s

Harbour Island¹¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-10| J: S Bowen| T: O Murphy| D

7/4

Ultra gelding who hails from a useful jumping family and he looked a good prospect when making a winning debut in a 12-runner Wetherby bumper (2m, soft) in December. Looked value for extra then and he's one to consider again under a penalty.

Form: 1

Island Bridge⁷⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: C Gethings| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls

16/1

£75,000 purchase who was successful on second outing in points. Never involved in steadily-run affair when tenth of 12 in bumper at Huntingdon (15.8f) in February but in good hands and he's surely capable of better.

Form: 2-10

King Sacre²²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Lorcan Murtagh| T: N J Hawke

100/1

Bathyrhon gelding. Fitted with a hood, was green and raced in snatches when well-beaten fourth of 6 in bumper at Hereford (16.2f) 22 days ago. Best watched on the back of that with headgear discarded.

Form: 4

Moon Over America³⁴⁶

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: James Turner⁽⁵⁾| T: N & W Twiston-Davies

11/2

€30,000 3-y-o: £80,000 4-y-o, Sea Moon gelding. Half-brother to 2 point winners and fair hurdler Police Academy. Game winner sole start in Irish points (May 2024) and respected on Rules debut for good stable.

Form: 1

Necronaut⁹¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Freddie Gingell| T: P F Nicholls| BF

5/2

£200,000 4-y-o, Blue Bresil gelding. Tended to go in snatches but that didn't stop him shaping with plenty of encouragement when second in 12-runner bumper at Wincanton (15.2f) in January. A repeat should see him firmly in the mix.

Form: 2

Rap Soul¹⁵⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-3| J: Harry Bannister| T: R BandeyWS

12/1

Kamsin gelding. Dam, made frame both starts over hurdles in France, half-sister to fairly useful French hurdler/chaser (17f winner) Bathilde. Runner-up in Irish point (Nov 2024) but yard only 2-40 with their runners in this sphere in last 5 seasons. Had wind surgery.

Form: 2

See You Again

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: Lucy Gardner| T: Mrs S Gardner

66/1

Telescope gelding. Dam, 9f-12.4f winner, half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser (winner around 2m) Bobs Pride. Rates a likely outsider on racecourse bow.

Form:

Fight My Fire⁶⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 10-9| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Tizzard

28/1

Vadamos gelding who merely hinted at ability when sixth of 8 in bumper at Hereford (16.2f, good to soft, 9/1) on NH debut 64 days ago. Best watched on that evidence.

Form: 6

Peter's Last Deal⁶⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 10-9| J: Caoilin Quinn| T: T Symonds

5/1

Walzertakt gelding who caught the eye with his move into contention when third of 8 in bumper at Hereford (16.2f) in February. Entitled to improve from that effort and no surprise to see this 4-y-o thereabouts.

Form: 3

Non-Runners

Zamek

Weight: 11-3| Age: 5

T: P F Nicholls J: Non Runner

Forecasts

Harbour Island (7/4), Necronaut (5/2), Zamek (4/1), Peter's Last Deal (5/1), Moon Over America (11/2), Rap Soul (12/1), Island Bridge (16/1), Fight My Fire (28/1), See You Again (66/1), King Sacre (100/1)

NECRONAUT shaped with plenty of encouragement amidst greenness when runner-up on bumper debut at Wincanton back in January and, representing a stable with an excellent record in this sphere, he looks to hold sound claims of going one place better. Debut scorer Harbour Island rates a big threat under a penalty. Peter's Last Deal is also worth a look.
