Melody Bells⁴⁸⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: J Cleary⁽⁵⁾| T: A Murray

200/1

Mastercraftsman filly. Offered little when twelfth of 14 in maiden at Dundalk (7f) 16 months ago. Makes a belated return to action starting out for new yard and she's probably best watched.

Form: 0/

(12)

Miss Australie¹³¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: Mark Crehan⁽³⁾| T: P O'Rourke| OR: 56

150/1

Thrice-raced filly. 80/1, ninth of 11 in maiden at Dundalk (10.7f) in December, doing too much too soon. Steps back in trip on first start since but handicaps will be more her bag.

Form: 859-

(13)

Prime Sign³¹

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: Billy Lee| T: A Oliver

150/1

Twice-raced filly. 100/1, nineteenth of 20 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, soft) 31 days ago, making brief headway around 2f out before weakening. Qualified for handicaps after this.

Form: 6-0

(11)

Sissi^t²³²

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: Declan McDonogh| T: J P O'Brien

28/1

Thrice-raced filly. Fifth of 7 in maiden at Bellewstown (12.3f, good to soft, 6/1). Off 7 months. Significantly down in trip.

Form: 625-

(9)

De Novo^t1¹⁴⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Dylan Browne McMonagle| T: J P O'Brien

9/4

Lope De Vega filly who cost plenty as a yearling (€130,000) and produced a promising first effort when fourth of 10 in maiden at Dundalk (7f, 9/2) on debut in November, keeping on without being knocked about. In good hands and she's likely to improve.

Form: 4-

(2)

Gotomylovely¹⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: J M Sheridan| T: J A Stack

25/1

Thrice-raced filly. 22/1, run best excused when pulled up in maiden at the Curragh (7f, soft) 18 days ago (bit went through mouth). Previous effort at that venue wasn't devoid of encouragement and she's another who could do better when tackling handicaps.

Form: 0-5P

(7)

Harana

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Chris Hayes| T: D K Weld

4/1

Ghaiyyath filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including useful 11.5f/1½m winner Hamsiyann and 7.3f winner Harannda. Dam, 2-y-o 7f (Silver Flash Stakes) winner who stayed 1¼m, half-sister to British/Irish Derby winner Harzand. Very appealing newcomer for stable enjoying a good spell.

Form:

(14)

Kodi's Angel²⁹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Wesley Joyce⁽⁵⁾| T: M Mulvany

12/1

Kodi Bear filly. Dam unraced. Showed plenty at long odds when second of 13 in maiden at Down Royal (7f, good, 33/1) on debut back in June, no match for winner. Improvement distinctly possible returning from 9 months off.

Form: 2-

(8)

Lady Crossing

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Leigh Roche| T: W J Fitzpatrick

150/1

Shaman filly. Half-sister to several winners, including 5f-1m winner Spirit of Big Bang and 7f/1m winner Keeper's Choice. Dam, 1m-1¼m winner, also won in bumpers.

Form:

(3)

Marzanda

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: James Ryan⁽³⁾| T: T G McCourt

125/1

Saxon Warrior filly. Dam, placed at 7f/1m (from only 2 starts) at 2 yrs, half-sister to useful 1m winner Mashia out of useful 9f-1½m winner Massinga.

Form:

(15)

Murkala^p1³¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Ben Coen| T: J P Murtagh| OR: 82

5/2

Lightly-raced filly. Bit below form third of 20 in maiden at the Curragh (7f, soft, 10/3) 31 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time and this step back up in trip ought to suit. Possibilities.

Form: 455-3

(1)

Touted Plan⁷⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Gary Carroll| T: J G Murphy

22/1

Twice-raced filly. Eighth of 14 in maiden (12/1) at Dundalk (8f) 75 days ago, fading. More required if she's to feature back on turf.

Form: 7-8

(6)

True Friend

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Gavin Ryan| T: Donnacha O'Brien

3/1

Churchill filly. Closely related to several winners, including very smart winner up to 10.3f Armory and smart 11.6f-1¾m winner Subsequent. Holds an Irish Oaks entry and she's very much a newcomer to note.

De Novo (9/4), Murkala (5/2), True Friend (3/1), Joyful Princess (10/3), Harana (4/1), Kodi's Angel (12/1), Calrissiana (12/1), Touted Plan (22/1), Gotomylovely (25/1), Sissi (28/1), Marzanda (125/1), Miss Australie (150/1), Prime Sign (150/1), Lady Crossing (150/1), Melody Bells (200/1), Ardlena (250/1)

MURKALA not for the first time shaped like a return to this longer trip was well worth exploring when third in a big-field Curragh maiden 31 days ago and, equipped with first-time cheekpieces, she shades the vote to step up on that and come out on top. Newcomer True Friend makes loads of appeal on paper and she needs considering. Joyful Princess, De Novo and Harana are others making the shortlist.
