Fairly useful hurdles/chase winner for Chris Gordon who stepped up on his comeback run for this yard when fourth at Newbury (19.8f) in November. Absent prior to a disappointing run in the Grimthorpe Chase last month but return to this shorter trip a plus and better showing anticipated.

Compiled a very solid record at this track, gaining a third chase victory here last May and going in again over hurdles in September. Not firing on all cylinders during the winter but his mark has eased as a result and return to this venue an obvious plus back from a break.
|
Fairly useful hurdler and quickly reached a similar level in this sphere, albeit flattered by proximity when second in 3-runner handicap chase at Wincanton (20f) 17 days ago. Still, respected as an in-form sort again partnered by James Bowen.

Forecasts
Investment Manager (11/8), Lord Baddesley (13/8), Jaramillo (5/2)
LORD BADDESLEY needs to dispel a below-par display at Doncaster, yet he faces an appreciably easier task here with that run under his belt, so could be the way to go from a potentially lenient mark. Both Jaramillo and multiple course scorer Investment Manager also merit respect in this scenario, however.
