Better known as a chaser and is now racing off an 11 lb lower mark over hurdles, though he's offered little on a couple of starts over smaller obstacles in recent months, well held at Doncaster (20.8f) latest and now stepped up markedly in trip. Others more convincing.

Runner-up first 2 starts over hurdles (under this jockey) and matched that form on sole run in a handicap. Running creditably when falling 3 out at Ludlow in February but below form down in trip at Haydock (21.2f) last time. Cheekpieces fitted and could bounce back reunited with Sean Bowen.
|
Arrives on the back of a double following a dominant display at Hereford (25.5f, good) prior to a career-best off an 11 lb higher mark at Sedgefield (27f) last time, beating a fellow unexposed stayer. Bids for hat-trick from 7 lb higher mark and can't be ruled out in her current form.
|
Bagged three staying handicap hurdles in the first half of last year but wasn't in the same form at the back-end of the season. May have needed the run (after 5 months off) when making no impression on his return at Catterick 44 days ago and merits consideration now 1 lb below last winning mark.

Course winner has yet to finish out of the places over hurdles for this trainer. Landed a gamble back at Exeter (21.6f) back in January and ran creditably twice in defeat prior to regaining the winning thread with a straightforward success at the same course last time (23.1f). Respected up in trip.
|
Capitalised on lower hurdles mark at Chepstow (23.6f) in February but disappointed back over fences at Wincanton the following month. Still on a fair mark in this sphere and no surprise to see him go well having already won over this course and distance.

Forecasts
Coconut Twist (9/5), Musique De Fee (5/2), Townhill (9/2), Pike Road (11/2), Lightonthewing (12/1), Guy (16/1)
It might pay to take a chance on TOWNHILL who was mixing it in better company than this when scoring three times last summer and is now racing from 1 lb below his latest winning mark, that victory having come over C&D. Last time out winner Coconut Twist has proved remarkably consistent over hurdles of late and he should go well again, while Pike Road may be able to recapture his form now reunited with Sean Bowen.
