Thrice-raced winner. Strong in the market and ready 4-length winner of 1¼m Chelmsford novice in December. The type to go on to better things in handicaps this year.
Progressive form in maiden/novice events at up to 1¼m last year, finishing runner-up on final 2 starts. In good hands so could easily have more to offer now moving into handicap company after 139 days off.
Promising type. Improved again to score by 2 lengths over this trip on AW at Lingfield last week and looks up to defying a 6 lb penalty with further progress likely.
Fair form, winning 1m novice at Brighton (heavy) when last seen in October. Well on top at the finish. proposing that this step up to 1¼m for handicap debut will play to his strengths.
Promising individual. 14/1, improved when third of 12 in novice at Lingfield (1m, AW) in November. There's plenty of stamina in his pedigree and he could come into his own now handicapping over further.
Thrice-raced maiden. Best effort when runner-up over 7f at Ffos Las on second start. Steps up 3f in trip for this handicap debut and reappearance.
Placed in AW novices on all 3 outings, finishing second of 5 over 8.6f at Wolverhampton on the latest 22 days ago. Switches to turf for handicap debut. Her opening mark isn't obviously generous.
Ended 2024 with an improved effort to easily win a C&D nursery on heavy ground in October. Raised 9 lb and ground conditions won't be anywhere near as testing this time.
Modest form over 6f/7f for Seb Spencer at 2. Fitted with blinkers and stepped up significantly in trip on first outing for a new stable. Best watched unless the betting strongly hints otherwise.

Forecasts
Sourdough (11/4), War Hawk (7/2), Anglophile (5/1), Great David (6/1), Gentle Warrior (8/1), Epimeteo (11/1), Darla's Secret (11/1), Pinkarizon (20/1), Manyana Blue (25/1)
WAR HAWK was well on top at the finish at Lingfield last week and should take a bit of stopping turned out again under a penalty, although there are a few potential improvers against him in a typically interesting early 3-y-o handicap. Hughie Morrison has won this race before and Sourdough very much has the profile of one who can go on to better things this year. Chelmsford novice winner Epimeteo completes the shortlist.
