SPARTAN ARROW was a good third in a pretty valuable York handicap on his sole start last year and, having finished down the field in the Newcastle contest won by Paddy's Day on return/debut for new yard in February, he showed the benefit of that spin when striking at Wolverhampton three weeks ago. The low-mileage 5-y-o is taken to follow up here and, in the process, bring the winning spree of Paddy's Day to a halt. Profitable Edge is also likely to be involved in the finish.
