Regatta De Blanc^t⁴⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-9| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 122| D

5/2

Dual chase winner who proved easy to back and checked out tamely when pulled up at Windsor (28.7f, good to soft) in January. Handicapper drops her 2 lb but she's got a bit to prove all of a sudden.

Sheldon³⁵

Age: 9| Weight: 11-9| J: M G Nolan| T: J W Mullins| OR: 122| C

6/1

Dual winner here (both 20.2f) last term and stepped up on reappearance when third of 6 at this C&D (heavy) 5 weeks ago, jumping right but making most until no extra from 2 out. Stamina questions to answer after that but has built up a solid record around here so can't be ignored.

Form: 1317-73

Saladins Son¹⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-7| J: Ben Godfrey| T: A J Honeyball| OR: 120| CD

1/1

Successful in Huntingdon maiden hurdle on return/stable debut in November and quickly dispelled his chase debut non-completion when running out a good winner of a C&D handicap 19 days ago, making most and just kept up to his work late on. Appeals as a young stayer to keep on side.

Form: 272-1P1

Enjoy Your Life¹⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR: 115

13/2

Won a pair of handicap chases around 3m last winter and reappeared from 8 months off with an encouraging second at Chepstow (19.5f) in November. Ran poorly when pulled up at Exeter next time though, and he was well held despite finishing third behind Saladins Son over C&D 19 days ago.

Form: 13P-2P3

Forecasts

Saladins Son (1/1), Regatta De Blanc (5/2), Sheldon (6/1), Hudson De Grugy (6/1), Enjoy Your Life (13/2)

SALADINS SON could be called the winner from some way out over C&D last month and, very much looking a young chaser to keep on side, Anthony Honeyball's charge is strongly fancied to defy a 5 lb rise at the expense of Hudson de Grugy, who shaped as if back in form over a trip which seemed to stretch him at Lingfield just over 5 weeks ago. Sheldon, who is building up a solid record here, rounds off the shortlist.
