Virgin Bet EBF Junior 'National Hunt' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Saw off Wallquatari when making a winning debut over C&D in December and set to better that form (3 lengths down in second) when unseating at the last at Haydock (2m again) just after Christmas. Looks sure to go well.

Showed improved form when third of 16 to in listed bumper at Cheltenham on New Year's Day. That suggests he should be up to making an impact over hurdles but he blotted his copybook on his first attempt, running out with a circuit to go. A hood goes on now.

Well-held fourth in bumper and hurdle at the end of 2024 but the fact he went off at 7/4 for the bumper suggests he must have shown some promise at home.

Half-brother to yard's useful hurdler/chase winner Herbiers but looked badly in need of the experience when 24 lengths last of 7 on in Bangor novice hurdle on debut in November. A tongue tie is added this time.

€60,000 3-y-o, Doctor Dino gelding. Dam, 1½m bumper winner in France, half-sister to fairly useful 17f hurdle winner Gars En Noir. One to note in the betting on debut.

Maxios gelding. Dam, pulled up sole start in bumpers, sister to smart hurdler/useful chaser (stays 2½m) Le Patriote. Newcomer from a good yard. Market support would look significant.

Maxios half-brother to fair chaser Smurfette. Noteworthy newcomer.

Strong in the market on his Haydock debut but left with too much ground to make up after being dropped out, coming in 25 lengths third. Definitely capable of better.

Showed some ability before falling on Stratford debut in October and clear of the rest when second to the reopposing Smart Decision over C&D since.
