Useful at his best in Ireland for Henry de Bromhead but form has gone the wrong way this season, making second start for current yard when pulled up at Kelso on his latest outing. Dropped in grade but has enough to prove at present.
Back down in grade and ridden by Alan Doyle, doubled his tally for the season when scoring at Musselburgh (good to soft) in November. However, his form hasn't been the most consistent, so task is now to build on his latest effort.
Successful on chase debut at Perth in spring 2023 and added to his hurdles tally at Ffos Las (2m, heavy) back in March. Not firing on all cylinders in trio of starts upon returning this winter and return to chasing needs to have positive effect.
Bumper/hurdles winner who wasn't disgraced on chase debut at Kelso (in first-time tongue tie) still in contention when error 2 out ended his chance in December. Probably best excused his subsequent hurdles run back there 23 days ago and he remains with a bigger effort in his locker in this sphere.
Won back-to-back handicap chases in June 2023 when trained by L J Morgan, but after 16 months off he hasn't offered much in 2 starts for current trainer this season, well-beaten fifth of 9 at Doncaster 38 days ago. Goes without the hood again here.
Yet to score over fences but not for the first time went close to bucking that trend when second at Kelso (17f) on penultimate start in November. Latest Carlisle fifth 37 days ago was one of his lesser efforts and cheekpieces are now employed.

COLD SOBAR is seemingly hard to train, yet he produced a promising first effort in this sphere on the back of a lengthy absence when third at Carlisle 37 days ago and, with progress anticipated, he's selected to build on that run here. Musselburgh scorer Chapel Green and Dunnet Head are fancied to pose the chief threats.
