Having shaped like a stayer in his qualifying runs, showed improved form upped in trip for handicap debut when successful at this course (19.8f, good to soft) 23 days ago. Leading contender with further progress to come over this even longer distance.

Dual C&D winner in 2023, including this race. Made a winning chase debut at Kelso last season, but having largely struggled since he was runner-up back at Kelso in October. Not in the same form last 2 starts, though he's not ruled out reverted to hurdling.
Maiden pointer who didn't offer much on first 2 starts in maiden hurdles. However, upped in trip she got off the mark in 6-runner novice at Newcastle (22f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Will need to find more again with cheekpieces added for handicap bow.
Winning pointer who was runner-up on second of 2 starts over hurdles for Ben Pauling. Well held first 2 outings for current yard, but with visor back on he improved when making all at this C&D (good to soft) in November. Capable of another bold bid.
Successful on last of 4 starts in Irish points and, in first-time hood, made it third lucky over hurdles in maiden at this C&D in January 2023. However, pulled up in handicap at Ayr 4 months later and off another 20 months since (has had a wind op).
C&D winner who took advantage of a drop in the weights when scoring at Kelso in October. Bounced back from a lesser effort when fourth of 9 at Doncaster (24.4f, good) in November, left with too much to do, and he could be in the mix.
Fairly useful winner on the Flat in France who has shown some promise in handicap hurdles last 2 starts, running best race upped in trip when 7½ lengths second of 9 to You Some Girl at this C&D (good to soft) in November. Could still have more to offer.
Stoutly bred and showed a bit more upped in trip when fourth of 7 in novice at Ayr (20.5f, good to soft) in March, though well held at Perth next time. Should be suited by this extra distance on handicap debut, but has 8-month absence to overcome.

Prince Of Perth (3/1), Top Man Tom (10/3), Anamanda (7/2), You Some Girl (4/1), Rickety Gate (9/2), Brandy Mcqueen (7/1), Hey Mama Rock Me (14/1), Giveupyerauldsins (28/1), Community Rebel (33/1)
PRINCE OF PERTH was suited by the longer trip when making a winning handicap debut at this course last time and he can follow up with better still to come as his stamina is drawn out further. You Some Girl has been going the right way with a hood reapplied this season and isn't taken lightly, while Top Man Tom also enters calculations.
