Irish point winner who was placed in the first of 2 bumpers last season and made a successful start to his hurdle career in a 2m Chepstow novice in October. However, he failed to fire upped to 2½m at Aintree since and looks vulnerable under a penalty here.

Showed plenty in bumpers last season (first past the post on 2 of his 3 starts in that sphere) and encouraging start over hurdles when fourth of 15 in a 2½m Ffos Las maiden last time. Live each-way chance here with improvement on the cards.

Runner-up sole start in Irish points and while he didn't appear to get home on first 3 starts under Rules, this 5-y-o was still bang there when running out at the second-last in a 20.5f Leicester maiden recently. Place possibilities.

Very easy winner of sole start in Irish points and it was a similar story on Rules debut in a bumper here last October. Disappointing both subsequent starts in that sphere but there were positives to glean from his first run over hurdles following a break/wind op at Exeter (21.6f, good) last month.

Runner-up sole outing in Irish points and shaped well when occupying same spot in a bumper at Ffos Las in March. More will be needed if he's to go one better now switched to hurdles but he's interesting nonetheless.

Point winner in Ireland and fair form when reaching the frame in 3 bumpers earlier in the year. Promising second to a decent prospect on hurdling bow at Aintree (2½m, good) and likely to make a bold bid to go one better here.

Successful pointer who made a winning debut under Rules in an Exeter bumper in April. Stepped up on his low-key hurdles debut when third of 13 in a C&D maiden (good) last time and, with the promise of better to come, he is a compelling candidate.

Point winner who left underwhelming Rules debut effort behind when third in 6-runner Warwick novice (2m, good) in May. Should appreciate this stiffer test now switched to hurdles and it'll be interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting, particularly in relation to stablemate Captain Bellamy.

OFF THE JURY wasn't able to match strides with Mister Meggit on his hurdles debut at Aintree but it's unlikely that there is one of that calibre in opposition here. Alan King's charge is taken to go one better this time, perhaps at the chief expense of Prophesea, who was placed in a maiden here recently and should have more to offer. Alan De Banks and bumper recruit King of Thieves are others to consider.
