Has a good record fresh and made a winning seasonal return at Carlisle in October. Backed that up with a creditable fourth there (17.2f, good to soft, 6/1) 15 days ago and he can back that up with cheekpieces applied.
Bumper winner who showed plenty of promise when placed 3 times in maiden/novice hurdles last winter. Remains with potential sent handicapping, the return to this longer trip sure to suit.
Veteran shaped as if in need of the run after a 10-month absence when ninth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Carlisle (17.2f, good to soft, 20/1) 41 days ago. Below last winning mark but others make greater appeal.
Bumper winner in late 2022 who left his hurdling debut form behind in a first-time hood when landing a 9-runner novice at Uttoxeter in July. Pulled hard at that track next time, but remains of interest sent handicapping after 5 months off.
Fairly useful at his best and ran well when second over C&D in March 2023. Off the track since his next outing, so market may act as best guide to expectations after 20 months off.
Went wrong way after winning a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle for Gordon Elliott last December and showed nothing when down the field at Carlisle on debut for new yard. Hard to fancy.
Attracted support and showed improved form to make a winning handicap in a 17-runner contest at Wincanton (19.8f, good to soft) in February 2023. Returns with yard in good form and he's highly respected.
Back-to-back winner over hurdles in May but has disappointed on both starts over timber since. Well positioned when scoring on the Flat at Redcar last month (14f, soft) and could have a say if arriving in the same form here.

Guard Duty (10/3), Hazy Glen (7/2), Haarar (4/1), Blue Fin (6/1), Jet Marshall (13/2), Thereisnodoubt (15/2), Hasty Brook (11/1), Swinging London (11/1), Mellificent (16/1), Hurricane Ali (20/1), Pacini (100/1)
HAZY GLEN appeals as the type to do better now tackling handicaps and is fancied to make a winning return with the step back up in trip promising to suit. Jet Marshall confirmed the promise of his qualifying runs when scoring on his handicap bow in February and has to be respected returning from an absence for the in-form Hobbs & White yard, with Blue Fin completing the shortlist.
