RCA Awards Warmest Welcome - Wincanton Racecourse Handicap Hurdle

Fairly useful handicapper at best on Flat (stays 12.5f) for Charlie Johnston but ended 2023 out of sorts. Yet to get near that level over hurdles but could show more now handicapping.

Fair winner at 14f in bumpers and not disgraced when second of 10 in a maiden hurdle at Hereford (16.2f, good) in May. Ran to a similar level at Fakenham despite making mistakes and warrants respect now switching to a low-level handicap after a break for new yard.

Showed improved quickly reverted to hurdling when off the mark in 9-runner handicap hurdle at Taunton (16.5f, good) last week, despite going in snatches. Escapes a penalty for that success and looks the one to beat.

Poor maiden hurdler who was well held on first outing since leaving David Pipe in 14-runner handicap at Chepstow (16f, good to soft) 23 days ago.

Regressive maiden on Flat and has cut little ice in 3 handicap hurdles. Cheekpieces back on.

Eleven runs since last win in 2022 but produced a promising first effort for new yard when runner-up at Exeter in November. Ran too badly to be true at Stratford and looked back in form at Huntingdon just 3 days later.

Poor handicapper who was pulled up from well out of the weights at Ffos Las (20f, good) when last seen in May. Easy to look elsewhere.
