5/2

Plenty of creditable efforts without success last term and dispelled a low-key reappearance effort in Silver Trophy at Chepstow when successful in handicap at Plumpton (20.5f) 17 days ago, perked up by change of headgear. Needs considering again up 3 lb.

Age: 6| Weight: 11-13| J: Paul O'Brien| T: Harry Derham| OR: 126

5/2

Upped his game again this summer, career-best display when winning 13-runner handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (23.3f) in June. Respectable fourth from 5 lb higher mark at Market Rasen (20.6f) followed a month later and respected now starting out for new yard/after a break.

Form: 12-2114

War Lord^p³¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-9| J: Brendan Powell| T: J Tizzard| OR: 122

18/1

Has tumbled in the weights in recent seasons and posted another good effort when third in handicap at Exeter (18.5f) on penultimate start. Second in 3-runner handicap chase at Plumpton (19.8f) 31 days ago but this looks tougher returned to this sphere.

Geezer Rockstar²⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-6| J: Bryan Carver| T: H Fry| OR: 119| BF

9/1

Bumper/maiden hurdle winner who ran poorly on handicap debut at Sandown (2m) in April. Off 6 months, back on track whilst shaping as if he'll come on for the run when fifth of 14 in novice hurdle at Carlisle (20f) 28 days ago but his mark does demand progress.

Form: 1/4P10-5

Getalead^p1,t⁶

Age: 8| Weight: 11-1| J: Gearoid Harney⁽⁷⁾| T: K Pickard| OR: 114| C

6/4

Returned from 6 months off in fine form, winning handicaps here/Warwick and not disgraced from inflated mark when eighth in competitive Cheltenham handicap (21f) 6 days ago. This less demanding and no surprise to see a good showing in present groove, re-united with this rider.

Forecasts

Getalead (6/4), Irish Hill (5/2), Pyffo (5/2), Cloud Dancer (5/1), Geezer Rockstar (9/1), War Lord (18/1)

IRISH HILL left his reappearance effort at Chepstow in his wake when successful in refitted cheekpieces (retained here) at Plumpton 17 days ago and a 3 lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold showing. Getalead will find this less demanding than last week's Cheltenham assignment and better can be expected. Pyffo is another to note on debut for Harry Denham.
