Useful handicapper who won this contest (off 3 lb lower) 12 months ago and notched a second chase win of the season when leading close home in a 3m Carlisle veterans' event in April. Warrants respect in repeat bid although slower ground would be preferable.

Four-time winning hurdler who matched best form in this sphere when taking 5-runner listed chase at Perth (23.8f, soft, 9/4) in April. Looks fairly treated on handicap debut and must enter calculations.

Built on return effort over hurdles when readily taking 6-runner handicap chase at Ludlow (23.8f, good) 17 days ago, travelling strongly. Raised 10 lb since but not taken lightly.

Dual staying chase winner last term who ended campaign with respectable fourth of 21 in Ultima Handicap at Cheltenham (25f, heavy) in March. Dropped 2 lb since and could be a player if tuned up for return.

Much improved sent chasing last term, completing hat-trick in a handicap at this course (22.3f) over Christmas. Back to that sort of form when creditable second at Aintree (25f, good to soft, 6/1) in May and returns on a workable mark.

Yard's raiders to UK always worthy of respect but failed to come for his return when pulled up over hurdles at Listowel last month and his last victory came in April 2022.

Racked up a handicap hurdle hat-trick at the end of last summer and jumped better than usual when off the mark over fences at Worcester (20f) last month. However, got no further than the first at Perth last time and is yet to fully convince over this sort of trip.
