Makes plenty of appeal on paper but looked held back by greenness when seventh of 9 in maiden on the July course (1m) 68 days ago. That experience ought not to have been wasted on him and he's surely capable of better for his leading stable.

Foaled February 11. Ghaiyyath colt. Dam, 1¼m-1¾m winner, half-sister to useful winner up to 2m Lord George. Betting should prove a useful guide on debut.

Sea The Stars colt who showed benefit of debut run when fourth of 12 in novice at Kempton (8f, 18/1) 12 days ago, well positioned. Up in trip and feasible to think he can do better again.

Very green but encouraging he showed a bit having completely blew the start when plugging on sixth of 11 in maiden at Sandown (8f, good) on debut 35 days ago. Entitled to do better but possible he will come into his own next year.

Forecasts

Arabian Poet (15/8), St Mawes (5/2), The Cursor (7/2), Tremorgio (9/1), Mersea Island (10/1), Ivatt (16/1), Love You Back (66/1)

Verdict

THE CURSOR makes plenty of appeal for a stable who won this 12 months ago and he could just be worth chancing on debut before the benefit of market clues. Arabian Poet, who proved too green to make an impact on debut, is surely capable of better, and along with his stablemate Tremorgio, may well emerge as the lead dangers.
