Successful at Cartmel in May and put a string of low-key efforts firmly behind him when resuming winning ways in a 2½m Perth handicap (good to soft) last month. However, this veteran isn't the easiest to predict nowadays and he ran poorly back at the same course 16 days later.

Confirmed promise of effort here in May when opening hurdles account back from a break at Worcester (23f, good). Failed to reproduce that form upped to 24.3f at Southwell 12 days ago but this relatively quick turnaround suggests that all is well and she will be a threat if able to get back on track.

Westerner filly who was well held on Rules debut in a bumper but positives to glean from subsequent efforts in maiden hurdles, over 2m at Worcester then upped to 20.6f here on latest start in July. Can be expected to improve now faced with a stiffer test on this handicap debut.

Point winner who showed improved form when striking on handicap hurdle debut over 20.6f in February. Has failed to build on that in 5 subsequent starts, though, and others make more appeal.

Showed more than on hurdling debut when fifth of 10 in novice here (20.6f, good to firm) in August. Jumping lacked fluency prior to slipping on home turn at Sedgefield recently and will need to be more sure-footed now pitched into a handicap.

Remains winless following 12 attempts over hurdles but she has been knocking on the door in 3m Perth handicaps of late, again finding just one too good in a 7-runner contest there last time. Solid each-way chance off the same mark.

Yet to get his head in front and has offered little in 2 starts joining present yard.

Showed improved form when placed in back-to-back 20.6f handicaps here during the summer but he was below par tried in a hood (discarded here) when returning from a break at Perth.

Showed little in a brace of bumpers and failed to step up on poor form in novice company when pulled up on recent handicap bow at Perth.

Limited impact both starts in Ireland for Enda Bolger and similar story for this yard so far. Hopes pinned on the first-time blinkers sparking a sizeable step forward here.

Returned to form from out of the blue when second on 3m Southwell reappearance in May but well beaten on all 4 outings since.

Irish point winner but more miss than under Rules so far and will need to improve if he's to make an impact here.

QUEENS VENTURE is in good hands and, with improvement anticipated now switched to handicap company and upped in trip, she is appealing off what looks a very reasonable opening mark. The Dan Skelton-trained filly may have most to fear from Shibuya Song, who appeared to be on the up prior to a below par effort last time. Western Glen is also shortlisted.
