Chemical Warfare^t¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-12| J: Jack Tudor| T: D Pipe| OR: 97| CD

5/2

Has been in good form, winning twice in the summer before resuming winning ways over C&D last month, relishing the emphasis on stamina. Remains unexposed over this sort of distance and should go well again.

Form: F11241

Coolmoyne¹⁴¹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-1| J: Harry Bannister| T: Sara Ender| OR: 86| BF

7/2

Finally gained reward for his consistency when off the mark at the 21st attempt at Hexham in May, jumping well and pulling clear with a subsequent winner. Respectable third there later that month and has since left Simon Waugh.

Form: 7247-13

Whataboutyeh^p1,t¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 10-10| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR: 81

9/4

Off the mark over fences in staying handicap at Cartmel in June 2023 but failed to meet expectations next 2 starts but shaped as if retaining all his ability after 14 months off when 5¾ lengths fourth of 6 to Chemical Warfare (5/1) at this C&D (good to soft) 16 days ago. Headgear on.

Form: 42133-4

Old Page^p⁴⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 10-2| J: Ellis Collier⁽⁷⁾| T: D Thompson| OR: 71

16/1

Long-standing maiden who is easy to oppose from out of the handicap.

Form: 2P2P-56

Henry Brown^p³⁵³

Age: 9| Weight: 10-2| J: Sean Quinlan| T: H Burns| OR: 69

14/1

Unreliable sort who turned in a laboured effort when second of 4 in handicap chase at Hexham (24.2f, good) in May and ran poorly next 2 starts after a break. 4 lb out of the handicap.

Form: 235/2PP-

Non-Runners

Sean Og⁵

Weight: 12-0| Age: 6

T: Mrs Dianne Sayer J: Non Runner

One Fer Mamma²⁰¹

Weight: 10-11| Age: 8

T: Paula Smith J: Emma Smith-Chaston

Forecasts

Whataboutyeh (9/4), Chemical Warfare (5/2), Sean Og (11/4), Coolmoyne (7/2), Youlneverwalkalone (4/1), One Fer Mamma (10/1), Henry Brown (14/1), Old Page (16/1)

SEAN OG was unlucky to bump into an upwardly-mobile handicap blot at Hexham on Friday and can go one better racing off 1 lb lower. Chemical Warfare resumed progress/winning ways over C&D last month and is an obvious threat, while Whataboutyeh shaped as if retaining all of his ability in the same race back from 14 months off and is entitled to come on for that.
