Monsant²⁶²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-4| J: R A Berry⁽⁷⁾| T: Colm Murphy| OR: 106

6/1

Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 12 in novice hurdle (66/1) at Navan (20f, heavy). Off 8 months ahead of this handicap debut. Open to improvement.

Form: 276-

Wee Charlie²⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-4| J: Jack Kennedy| T: Gerard O'Leary| OR: 106| C

8/11

First run since leaving T. Gibney when winning 20-runner handicap hurdle at this course (16.7f, good to soft, 10/1) 29 days ago, readily. 8 lb rise tolerable and booking of Jack Kennedy suggests that connections mean business.

Form: 6F4-001

Dream Shaper^t²⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Cian Quirke⁽⁵⁾| T: I Madden| OR: 102

9/1

Very good 5 lengths fifth of 20 to Wee Charlie in handicap hurdle (66/1) at this course (16.7f, good to soft) 29 days ago. Opposable.

Form: 5-00765

Jinxs Link¹⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 11-0| J: Sean O'Keeffe| T: M Rice| OR: 102

15/2

Last of 9 in maiden at Dundalk (10.7f, 100/1) 18 days ago, flattered by proximity. Switches from Flat to hurdles. Career Successful on latest start in this sphere at Down Royal in August but this 5 lb higher mark asks a question.

Form: 1506-61

Depalma¹⁴⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-9| J: Brian Hayes| T: Colm Murphy| OR: 97| BF

12/1

Thrice-raced maiden. Fourth of 12 in novice hurdle at Kilbeggan (19f, good, 9/4) 144 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Like stablemate Monsant, he is a likely improver now venturing down the handicap route.

Form: 68-4

Forecasts

Wee Charlie (8/11), Call The Tune (9/2), Monsant (6/1), Jinxs Link (15/2), Fighting Fit (15/2), Dream Shaper (9/1), Depalma (12/1)

The Colm Murphy-trained duo DEPALMA and Monsant can both be expected to improve now pitched into handicap company. Preference is for the former who took a step forward when a close fourth in a Kilbeggan maiden on his latest start in May and he has been handed what looks a very fair opening mark. Wee Charlie returned to form when scoring here last time and he is also respected, along with Call The Tune.
