3-time C&D winner. Latest win at Bath in June. 20/1, again ran below form returned to all-weather when seventh of 9 in handicap at this C&D 2 weeks ago.
Again ran well having managed to avoid trouble when second of 11 in handicap (5/2) at Bath (10.2f, good to firm) just under 3 weeks ago, running on. Cheekpieces back on. Has good chance on form.
Course winner. Run best excused when eighth of 11 in handicap (25/1) at Beverley (9.9f, good to soft) 11 days ago, stuck wide in a strongly-run race. Others preferred nonetheless.
Ran what has to be considered a rare below-par race when third of 4 in handicap (9/4) at Nottingham (10.2f, good) 46 days ago. Makes all-weather debut. Is totally exposed so others more persuasive.
Winner at Ayr in July. Possibly unsuited by conditions when eighth of 9 in handicap at Carlisle (9f, soft, 11/2) 37 days ago. This is just his second all-weather start and he could fare better.
9/1, ran even worse after 8 weeks off when last of 8 in handicap at Brighton (9.9f, soft) 26 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Harry Eustace (for just 1,600 gns). Cheekpieces back on.
Again came up short of his Pontefract form when fourth of 7 in handicap at Epsom (12f, soft, 9/1) 23 days ago. Back down in trip. Makes tapeta debut. Cheekpieces back on.
Lightly-raced maiden. Took a step forward but didn't look altogether straightforward when fourth of 13 in handicap at Chelmsford City (8f, 5/1) 51 days ago. No surprise to see cheekpieces on now.
Course winner. Seventeen runs since last win in 2023. Followed a below-par effort with an even worse one when seventh of 10 in handicap (7/2) at Southwell (8.1f) 9 days ago. Finished runner-up 4 times on the spin in the summer so she can't be ruled out yet.
Lightly-raced maiden. 50/1, dropped a chunk in the weights after his handicap bow and matched previous efforts when third of 12 at Chelmsford City (8f) 7 days ago. Needs to build on that.
Lightly-raced maiden. Again ran to only a modest level when fifth of 7 in handicap (33/1) at Redcar (8f, good to firm) 18 days ago, slowly away. Very hard to make a case for.
Found enough improvement for the step up in trip to get off the mark on his all-weather debut in 10-runner handicap (well-backed 5/2) at Newcastle (10.2f) 18 days ago. Nudged up just 2 lb and can make his presence felt.

Forecasts
The Bobster (5/1), Toronto Raptor (11/2), Renesmee (6/1), Baritus Bellator (13/2), Lia Rose (15/2), Precision Storm (15/2), Dingwall (17/2), Persian Phoenix (17/2), Panama City (12/1), Apache Canyon (16/1), Paddy Mayne (40/1), Speed Court (66/1)
A tricky finale to solve but the vote goes to RENESMEE, who has found just one too strong on her last couple of starts but reapplied cheekpieces could eke out that bit extra. The Bobster found enough improvement for the step up in trip when scoring on all-weather debut at Newcastle recently, so he heads up the opposition, with Persian Phoenix and Baritus Bellator another couple worth considering, also.
- Renesmee6/1
- The Bobster5/1
- Persian Phoenix17/2
