Dog Fox⁷⁰

4/1

Fairly useful 1¼m Flat winner for Ed Dunlop and got off the mark in this sphere in 10-runner handicap hurdle at Bangor (17f, good) in June. Bad mistake last did for him when fifth here a month later and revised mark may not be beyond him on that evidence.

Form: 453-215

Form: 8-14618

Diplomatie²⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-11| J: Miss Victoria Malzard⁽⁵⁾| T: Harry Derham| OR: 106

11/1

Fair on Flat and of a similar standard over hurdles, winning a trio of events at Les Landes in July and August, namely 2 handicaps and minor event in between. Below form on final outing but much respected having joined a yard that does very well with its new recruits.

Form: 2-21113

Light Dragoon^t¹⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 11-11| J: Cameron Iles⁽⁷⁾| T: T Lacey| OR: 106| D

7/2

Confirmed the promise of his hurdling debut when winning 10-runner maiden at Worcester (16f, good) 17 days ago, though did have luck on his side. Into handicaps and more required.

Form: 0-31

Obsessedwithyou^h⁴²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: G Sheehan| T: Jamie Snowden| OR: 99| BF| D

3/1

Smallish mare who doesn't quite look the force of old, but her mark reflects that and she ran well when second of 8 in handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (16.8f, good) 42 days ago. Should remain competitive.

Form: 53-4642

Ikigai Star²²

Age: 4| Weight: 11-4| J: David Bass| T: C E Longsdon| OR: 100| D

Buxted Too^p,t³⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-13| J: C J Todd| T: Ian Williams| OR: 94

Forecasts

Obsessedwithyou (3/1), Light Dragoon (7/2), Dog Fox (4/1), Wise Guy (4/1), Forget The Way (6/1), Buxted Too (8/1), Ikigai Star (11/1), Diplomatie (11/1), Ascension Day (12/1), Ambassador (20/1)

WISE GUY progressed well last term and it's reasonable to think he could have more to offer this season given his age and low-mileage profile, so he's fancied to make a successful return. Diplomatie had a productive spell in Jersey during the summer and warrants respect having joined a yard that does very well with its new recruits, while Dog Fox was undone by a bad mistake here on his most recent outing and could still be ahead of his mark.
