Foaled April 7. Study of Man colt. Half-brother to numerous winners, including winner up to 1¼m Alla Speranza, 11f winner Altesse and 1¼m-1¾m winner Alcaeus, all useful. Dam 1m-10.5f winner. Noteworthy newcomer.
Persian King colt who has seemingly been learning on the job on both starts so far, finishing with a bit more to give when seventh of 11 in maiden at Goodwood (7f, good to firm) last month. Handicaps after this could prove more suitable.
Beaten a fair way on both starts so far and upped further in trip here. Looks one for later on.
Foaled April 30. €95,000 foal, Galiway colt. Half-brother to useful 9f-2m winner Speedo Boy and French 11f winner Dancing Vision. Dam, 9.5f-11.5f winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 15.5f (stayed 2½m) Varevees. Likely outsider on debut.
Looked badly in need of the experience when eleventh of 13 in novice (11/1) at this course (7f, good to firm) on debut 7 weeks ago, slowly away. Likely to show himself in a far better light before long but will find easier opportunities.
Hails from a yard which has introduced plenty of promising sorts in recent weeks and looked another when a running-on second of 10 in novice (8/1) at Kempton (8f) on debut 3 weeks ago, not unduly punished. Well up to going one better.
Looked badly in need of the experience and offered little encouragement when ninth of 10 in maiden at Newbury (8f, good to firm) on debut last month. Set for another struggle.
Foaled February 27. 30,000 gns yearling, Wootton Bassett colt. Dam unraced half-sister to smart 2-y-o 1m winner Foundation.
Looks to be being brought along gradually, again finishing down the field at Goodwood (8f, good) just over 2 weeks ago. Should be more competitive in handicaps after this.
350,000 gns yearling, Wootton Bassett colt who shaped as if in need of the experience when sixth of 10 in maiden (22/1) at Newbury (8f, good to firm) on debut last month. Should improve with that initial effort under his belt.
Kingman gelding who showed plenty to work on by the end when second of 8 in maiden at this C&D (good) on debut just under 6 weeks ago, keeping on well inside final 1f but just no match for an even more promising newcomer. Obvious claims.

Forecasts
Prince Of The Seas (5/4), Wild Nature (6/4), Almeric (17/2), Caspian King (10/1), Sword Of Wessex (16/1), Paragon (50/1), Stormy Monday (66/1), Love You Back (66/1), St Mawes (150/1), Hippocratic Oath (150/1), Scarlet Moon (200/1)
WILD NATURE and Prince of The Seas both found just one too good on their respective debuts in recent weeks and they look the pair worth focusing on here, with Charlie Appleby's gelding selected to come out on top. Another interesting runner is Sword of Wessex, who shaped as if in need of the experience first time up at Newbury last month so can edge out newcomer Almeric for third.
