Military Academy²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-11| J: Tom Marquand| T: J & T Gosden

15/8

Half-brother to connections' smart 2-y-o 7f/1m (Fillies' Mile) winner Commissioning. From an excellent family and, having been well backed, got the better of a subsequent winner in ready fashion at Hamilton 3 weeks ago. Looks an excellent prospect.

Valvano¹⁶⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-11| J: H Crouch| T: R M Beckett| OR: 97

4/6

Made a highly promising start to his career when a 6-length winner in the mud at Nottingham last year and left that form behind when runner-up to the talented Notable Speech at Kempton 5 months ago. Upped in trip and boasts solid claims.

Form: 1-2

(4)

Sixfiveseven^b1⁷⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-10| J: Josephine Gordon| T: Kieran Burke

150/1

Showed fairly useful form when placed in maidens at Compiegne and Cholet in France in late 2022. No encouragement for Syd Hosie and Richard Hawker over hurdles, though, so something to prove.

Form: 32/

(7)

Wiltshire Wonder¹⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 9-10| J: Joshua Bryan| T: A Watson

80/1

Bumper winner who was sent off a big price and didn't make much impression in a novice at Southwell on Flat debut. Probably more of a handicap type.

Form: 6

(6)

At No Time

Age: 3| Weight: 8-13| J: Rossa Ryan| T: R M Beckett

13/2

Galileo filly. Closely related to smart 7f winner Bravais (by Frankel): dam, 6f winner (including Duchess of Cambridge/Lowther Stakes at 2 yrs), half-sister to 1000 Guineas/Oaks winner Love. Interesting newcomer on paper.

(2)

Fire And Rain¹⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 8-13| J: Billy Loughnane| T: J Butler

150/1

Little show on debut and looks firmly up against it.

Form: 7

Forecasts

Valvano (4/6), Military Academy (15/8), King Chaos (9/2), At No Time (13/2), Wiltshire Wonder (80/1), Sixfiveseven (150/1), Fire And Rain (150/1)

MILITARY ACADEMY was impressive when making a winning debut at Hamilton three weeks ago and the runner-up (who was giving him weight) that day has since bolted up in a handicap off 86, so he's well worth a chance to follow up for all that Valvano also looks potentially smart. At No Time is a notable newcomer.
