15/8

Improved from debut effort when fair second of 8 in maiden at Redcar (7f, good to firm, 11/1) 31 days ago, albeit no match for winner. Likely contender.

(2)

Obligatory³⁵

18/1

Form has gone the wrong way this season, again failing to beat a rival in 8-runner handicap (28/1) at Thirsk (5f, good) 35 days ago. Has enough to prove at present.

Form: 250408

Northerner^p1,t1⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 8-13| J: Shay Farmer⁽⁷⁾| T: B Ellison| OR: 59

7/1

Lightly-raced maiden. Sixth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good to firm, 18/1) 7 days ago. Should appreciate the step up in trip and can give a good account. Tongue strap/cheekpieces on first time.

Form: 2-4296

Forecasts

Gundogan (8/11), Pinsent (15/8), Northerner (7/1), Obligatory (18/1), Hachiko (40/1), Sadiiki (66/1), Matt Cool (100/1), Mary Ellen Best (125/1)

The addition of blinkers could be key for GUNDOGAN, and he is taken to open his account. Pinsent looks the obvious danger on form, whilst Northerner can also make her presence felt.
