Low-mileage 4-y-o who got back on track when fourth of 10 in handicap at Epsom (7f) early last month for James Ferguson. Disappointing on his debut for this yard a fortnight ago, though, so has bit to prove with cheekpieces reapplied.
Made a promising start when winning an 11-runner minor event at Salisbury (7f, good to firm) on debut in June but proved far too keen to give himself any realistic chance at Windsor next time. Hood now goes on and he'll likely need to step forward to make a winning handicap debut.
Shaped well when a close second at Kempton (1m) on debut but has proved far too keen both outings since. Has since been gelded/had breathing operation ahead of handicap debut and he starts from a workable mark if that has done the trick.
Off the mark at Kempton in May and has held form well in making the frame all 3 starts since, most recently when third at that same course (6f) 23 days ago. Return to 7f shouldn't prove an issue and he's highly respected.
Wide-margin winner at Salisbury (6f, heavy) in May and confirmed himself as back in decent heart when fifth of 9 in handicap at Newbury (7f, good to firm) 14 days ago. Can give another good account with posing serious threat to principals.

Forecasts
Tennessee Gold (9/4), Smart Hero (5/2), Perennial (7/2), Murashah (9/2), Beau Jardine (5/1), American Bay (5/1), Good Karma (9/1)
TENNESSEE GOLD appeals as the most solid proposition in a tricky contest, with Joseph Parr's gelding arriving on the back of another sound effort. Smart Hero starts life in handicaps from an attractive mark and could prove well treated if a recent gelding operation has helped to curb his headstrong tendencies, whilst American Bay remains difficult to rule out despite yet failing to build on the promise of his encouraging return.
