Turners Of Soham Handicap

Off time: 17:00 | Winning time: 58.60s

(1)

Scoops Ahoy^p,t⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-13| J: N Callan| T: D O'Meara| OR: 72| D

5/1

Back to winning ways at Redcar (5f, soft) in May and mostly solid efforts since. Latest run at York was a blip but shouldn't be ruled out back in calmer waters.

Miss Anya^b1⁴²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-13| J: George Rooke| T: R Hughes| OR: 72| D

8/1

Landed a brace of 5f AW handicaps in the spring but has only run creditably once in three subsequent outings, down the field here on latest. Blinkered for the first time.

Form: 211728

(8)

Catch Cunningham^h⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-12| J: Benoit D L Sayette| T: M Herrington| OR: 68| D

5/2

Latest win at Leicester in June. Hasn't been firing since and others look more persuasive.

Form: 851277

(2)

Agostino^v²⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-10| J: Saffie Osborne| T: R M H Cowell| OR: 66

11/1

On a fair mark and, having run well at Lingfield on his penultimate outing, he had an excuse at Yarmouth last time, so he's not one to rule out.

Form: 195925

(6)

Thismydream^p²²

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: R Havlin| T: M J Attwater| OR: 61| D

12/1

Fair performer who hasn't been at his best the last twice. Might strip fitter for latest outing at Chelmsford but others make more appeal.

Form: 416274

(4)

Marching Mac^b1,t²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-3| J: Billy Loughnane| T: G Boughey| OR: 62| BF

6/1

Has been inconsistent to date but has shown signs that he's better than this mark and first-time blinkers could spark some improvement, so worthy of interest.

Form: 567253

(3)

Captain Dandy^t1³⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-1| J: S De Sousa| T: S C Williams| OR: 57

11/4

Good second of 7 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good, 7/2) 37 days ago, clear of rest. First run for yard after leaving Richard Fahey. Tongue strap on 1st time. Looks the one to beat for new stable.

Form: 6-10342

Forecasts

Catch Cunningham (5/2), Captain Dandy (11/4), Scoops Ahoy (5/1), Marching Mac (6/1), Miss Anya (8/1), Agostino (11/1), Thismydream (12/1), World Of Darcy (25/1)

CAPTAIN DANDY ran well on his final outing for Richard Fahey and has joined another shrewd outfit, so he's worth a chance to defy a handy mark. Marching Mac can make his presence felt if blinkers have a positive effect and Scoops Ahoy is of interest back down in grade.
