Most progressive equipped with headgear, registering a clear-cut success from the front at Newcastle (12.5f) in May and strong in the betting, he regained the winning thread at Newmarket fitted with blinkers 3 weeks ago, suited by this trip. Limit not yet reached so major claims.
Took his form up a notch to resume winning ways in good style at Wolverhampton in March and finished third next 2 starts, running best race to date when third behind Bague D'or at Newmarket (14f) in May. Tongue tie fitted and may have been amiss given how he folded at Ascot. In top hands, though.
Useful staying handicapper who tasted success 3 times as a 3-y-o. Returned in very good order, runner-up first 2 starts prior to a solid fifth in Northumberland Plate and added to solid profile with a keeping-on third at Ascot last week. Cheekpieces back on dropped in trip.
Quickly reached a useful level in France last year, winning 3 times at up to 15f in the autumn. Changed hands for €250,000 and while last month's British debut was underwhelming, this will reveal a lot more. Tongue tie on.
Admirable veteran who showed he's still capable of useful form when snapping a losing run at Ayr (13f) in June. Cracking sixth in the John Smith's Cup at York since and he's a credit to connections. Versatile regarding trip but clearly vulnerable to anything progressive.
Confirmed her excellent start to the campaign when landing 11-runner course handicap over 12f in May. Better than the result when sixth in listed company at Pontefract a month later and this sizeable filly may have a bigger effort in her over this trip.
Dual scorer earlier in his career in France who belatedly cashed in off his sliding mark in a refitted hood over C&D in May, edging ahead dying strides. Possibly anchored by revised mark at Newmarket.
Dual winner last term who made a fine return from 11 months off when second of 14 in handicap at Ascot (12f) in May. Overcame a troubled passage when adding to tally ay Newbury since so deserves extra credit. Promises to stay this far so he needs considering.
Sea The Stars colt who continues to improve with each run, winning handicaps at Thirsk and Haydock last 2 starts at up to this trip. New mark asks a different question but he has to be of interest given his profile.
Successful on 2 of his 5 starts in 2023 and placed 3 times this year, including when going down an unlucky loser at Haydock (11.8f) in June. Relished this trip when an excellent fourth at Newmarket 3 weeks ago, faring best of those held up and he's a fascinating contender.
Winless in 2024 but he's been shaping up quite well of late given 2m is on the limit of his stamina in good-quality handicaps. Drop back to this trip a good move fitted with cheekpieces for the first time.
Pulled up in Swinton Hurdle at Haydock but a credit to connections and successful on the level either side of that fitted with cheekpieces, well on top at the finish at Sandown last week. This a deeper handicap but he's likely to give it his all.
Powered clear to land 20-runner York handicap (11.8f) in May and confirmed the promise of his Goodwood run when going in again at Ascot, suited by step up to 14.2f. Shade too free in a steadily-run race at Newbury tackling 2m last time and he remains of firm interest.

Several of these boast progressive profiles, with FAIRBANKS just about the most appealing of the lot given he was value for extra having impressed with how he put a seal on matters at Newmarket 3 weeks ago. Charlie Johnston saddles a couple of very interesting contenders in Knightswood and Align The Stars, while a well-run race over this trip would bring Dancing In Paris firmly into the equation.
