Useful staying handicapper who tasted success 3 times as a 3-y-o. Returned in very good order, runner-up first 2 starts prior to a solid fifth in Northumberland Plate (16.2f) on his most recent outing 4 weeks ago. Fancied to play a part again.
Got back on the scoresheet at Meydan early last year but winless since and he hasn't been convincing with his application under pressure on recent starts. Steps back up in trip now but others make greater appeal.
Finally opened his account for this yard at Wolverhampton (14f) in March and matched that level when fourth at Newcastle (16.2f) later that month. Raced too freely to see things out in Northumberland Plate on return 4 weeks ago
Consistent sort who attracted support and confirmed previous promise back from a break when successful at Kempton (2m) in January. Held his form well in all-weather handicaps since but he may just prove vulnerable for win purposes from this mark back on turf.
Progressed at a rate of knots during 2022, winning 5 times. Not got her head in front since though, and she' hasn't looked like taking advantage of her sliding mark in 3 starts for her present yard this summer.
Versatile sort who tasted success over fences last summer and he's been in good order on the level in recent months, resuming winning ways at Kempton prior to finishing runner-up at Ffos Las (2m) last month.
3-time winner on Flat last season and having tasted success over hurdles for new yard at Hexham (16.2f) in March, proved better than ever when scoring back on the level at Hamilton (13f) in May. Shade underwhelming back there latest though, and this tougher again. Cheekpieces on 1st time.
Landed back-to-back small field Southwell handicaps in the spring and got back on the up in no uncertain terms with a ready success at Newbury (13.3f) last week, in command over 1f out. Carries penalty here and this even longer trip could unlock further progress.
Lope De Vega colt who ran out a good winner of a Goodwood maiden (14f) in June and took another step forward when finishing a head second behind a thriving older rival on handicap debut here (14f) 2 weeks ago. Very much of interest now stamina is tested further.

Tactician (10/11), Attila The Honey (10/3), True Legend (7/2), Zoran (14/1), Howth (22/1), Global Heat (28/1), Red Flyer (40/1), Wickywickywheels (50/1), Two Auld Pals (50/1)
TACTICIAN is a progressive youngster clearly possessing bags of stamina and lost little caste in defeat when runner-up behind a thriving older rival at this course (14.2f) 2 weeks ago. Open to further improvement now his stamina is tested further, he makes plenty of appeal at the foot of the weights. Fellow 3-y-o Attila The Honey was a good winner at Newbury recently and that may not prove her limit. True Legend is another with more wins in him this year.
