Snapped a losing run in fine style from the front over this C&D (good to soft) at the end of last month. Remains on a good mark up 9 lb and he'll take some stopping if in a similar mood.
Veteran who gained latest success off a 6 lb higher mark at Perth last August. Placed at that course on 2 of his last 3 starts and likely to again be on the premises.
Dug deep when adding a sixth C&D success to his tally last summer. However, he's not getting any younger and has been pulled up on each of his 3 subsequent starts, including in the race won by Dr Sanderson last month.
Fair winning hurdler in Ireland and opened his account for Iain Jardine over fences at Kelso in September. Has found life tougher since, though (well held in the C&D race won by Dr Sanderson last time), and he may again find a few too good.
Didn't go on following an encouraging start over hurdles and while she wasn't entirely disgraced on second start over fences on debut for new connections at Bangor last time, she's probably worth taking on.
Made the most of what ended up a good opportunity to get off the mark under Rules at Catterick in December. Best effort since when third of 10 at Southwell (15.8f, good) last month but that form leaves him short of what will be required here.
Positive start over fences when runner-up in this race off a 3 lb higher mark last year. Failed to progress thereafter but he has posted some fair efforts on the Flat in recent months and he's not one to write off back in this sphere.
Opened his account over hurdles at Uttoxeter in December 2022. Mixed record since, though, and he was safely held in a handicap chase at Stratford last time.
Long-standing maiden over hurdles but bettered those exploits at second attempt over fences when landing 8-runner C&D contest at the end of May. However, her jumping was less than perfect back here in the handicap won Dr Sanderson and she will need to sharpen up in that department.
Opened his account in a handicap chase at Hexham last summer but it's fair to say that he has failed to progress since and others make more appeal.

Forecasts
Dr Sanderson (11/10), Kicksaftersix (17/2), Sword Of Fate (9/1), Jackhammer (9/1), Guillaume (11/1), Henry Box Brown (12/1), Minella Youngy (12/1), Smurfette (14/1), Melvich Bay (14/1), Tonto's Spirit (50/1)
DR SANDERSON delivered a sure-footed round of jumping when winning as liked over this C&D last time and it's unlikely that a 9 lb rise will be enough to stop him in his tracks. Jackhammer is marginally preferred to Sword of Fate for forecast purposes.
