Still showed greenness when second of 12 in minor event (8/11) at Salisbury (6f, good to firm) 26 days ago, not having the knowhow to put the race to bed once hitting the front. Remains with potential and fancied to go a place better than both previous outings.

Made an unpromising start to his career when tenth of 11 in minor event (18/1) at York (6f, good) on debut 52 days ago. Will need to leave that effort well behind.

Forecasts

Stratusnine (5/6), Intrusively (2/1), Tarlac (11/1), Ann Terry (12/1), Storm The Dug (16/1), Helaali (22/1)

Verdict

STRATUSNINE has found just one too good on both starts in big-field novices so far and, with further improvement on the cards, Hugo Palmer's colt is fancied to make it third time lucky at the expense of Intrusively, who should also have plenty more to offer for his in-form yard. Ann Terry makes most appeal of the newcomers so she completes the shortlist.
