7/2

Improved model this term having been gelded, making it 2 wins from last 3 starts over 10f when scoring on the Rowley Mile course in May. 7 lb rise but he could yet have more to offer.

Borgi⁷⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 9-10| J: Dylan Hogan| T: S Woods| OR: 80| D

22/1

Gained a fourth all-weather victory at Southwell (1m) in March. Respectable efforts both outings subsequently but he still needs to prove himself as effective on turf.

Midnight Gun⁴²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: K Stott| T: E Walker| OR: 88| D

8/15

Boasting a smashing pedigree and proved a different proposition on third start (turf debut) when opening his account in a Nottingham novice (8.3f) 6 weeks ago, that despite still looking green. Will go on improving and highly respected now handicapping.

Form: 0-51

Makeen^v²³

Age: 7| Weight: 9-8| J: O McSweeney⁽³⁾| T: Miss J A Camacho| OR: 78| D

18/1

Out of sorts on AW earlier this year but short break and fitting of a visor sparked a revival when quickening away from 8 rivals to land Beverley handicap (8.5f) 23 days ago. Consistency hasn't been his strong suit in recent seasons, however.

Form: 047-001

Speeding Bullet¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Cieren Fallon| T: R Hannon| OR: 82

7/1

Consistent on the whole as a 2-y-o, opening his account in a nursery here (7f) in October. Looked unsuited on the track on return at Epsom but he did run respectably when fifth of 8 in handicap at Goodwood (7f, good to firm) 12 days ago. Worth another try at this trip.

Form: 5314-95

(6)

Madame De Sevigne⁴¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-10| J: S D Bowen⁽⁵⁾| T: R Eddery| OR: 76

25/1

Took her form up another notch after 6 months off when fourth of 8 in novice at Ascot (1m) in May and possibly found race coming too soon after 10 days off when sixth of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) later that month. Not one to write off.

Forecasts

Midnight Gun (8/15), Mythical Guest (7/2), Speeding Bullet (7/1), Maysong (10/1), Makeen (18/1), Borgi (22/1), Madame De Sevigne (25/1)

MIDNIGHT GUN boasts a smashing pedigree and took a step forward switched to turf when a cosy winner of a Nottingham novice 6 weeks ago. The type to go on progressing in handicaps, he makes plenty of appeal on just his fourth start. Mythical Guest, who is 2-3 this campaign, is next best down in trip, ahead of Speeding Bullet and Makeen.
