Sarceaux⁵¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 11-11| J: Aaron Anderson⁽⁵⁾| T: J S Wainwright| OR: 94

20/1

Won once over hurdles for Alexandra Dunn back in 2022 but below form when last seen 17 months ago and is likely best watched on return for new yard.

Form: 132445/

Albert Park^t²⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-9| J: Bryan Carver| T: N J Hawke| OR: 97

11/2

Fairly useful ex-Irish Flat maiden who has been brought along steadily over hurdles, latest when creditable sixth in Uttoxeter handicap (15.8f, good to soft) 20 days ago. Each-way claims.

Form: 0553-6

Right Now¹⁶⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-6| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: R Menzies| OR: 94

20/1

Fairly useful maiden on the Flat for Joseph O'Brien but below that level in a trio of starts in this sphere (last 2 for Sheila Lewis). Goes handicapping on debut for new yard and percentage call is to look elsewhere.

Form: 668-

Pittsburg^p,t¹⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-3| J: Dylan Johnston⁽⁵⁾| T: R Potter| OR: 86| CD

15/2

Below form in handicap chase at Hereford latest but scored twice in that discipline last summer and is 8 lb lower back over the smaller obstacles here. Cheekpieces back on. Not out of things.

Form: 22230-5

Common Acclaim^p³¹

Age: 4| Weight: 11-2| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: T D Easterby| OR: 90

22/1

Fair maiden handicapper on Flat and posted similar form when reaching the frame in juvenile hurdle before Christmas. Arrives on back of disappointing handicap debut at Southwell, though.

Form: 4434-5

Cher Tara¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-1| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 84| BF

5/1

Lightly-raced maiden who failed to improve for step up in trip on handicap debut when seventh of 9 at this course (20.6f, good, 7/2) 15 days ago. Yard could hardly be in better form, however, and she must enter calculations.

Form: 7U9-57

Cofficionado^t²⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-8| J: William Maggs⁽⁵⁾| T: D McCain Jnr| OR: 82

7/2

Posted best effort to date when close second of 10 in handicap hurdle over C&D (good) 28 days ago. Remains low mileage and is one for shortlist.

Form: 435-2

Strip Light¹⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 10-6| J: Emma Smith-Chaston⁽³⁾| T: Paula Smith| OR: 75

125/1

Clearly had his issues having ran only twice since the end of 2022 and didn't show enough here last month to make him of interest on handicap hurdle debut.

Form: 8P/0-5

High Yield^p²⁵¹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-6| J: Harry Bannister| T: Sara Ender| OR: 75

20/1

Ran with credit in a couple of starts here last summer, latterly when fourth of 9 in handicap hurdle (18.6f, good to soft) in September. Not seen since, however, and is still looking for first success.

Form: 4PP/P74-

Chantilly Dragon^p1¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 10-5| J: Callum Bewley| T: P D Niven| OR: 74

33/1

Yet to trouble the judge over timber and no signs of improvement on handicap bow here 15 days ago. Cheekpieces now tried.

Form: 36587-9

Ingleby Mackenzie¹⁷²

Age: 10| Weight: 10-2| J: B S Hughes| T: J Ewart| OR: 69

7/1

Fair handicap chaser in Ireland for Henry de Bromhead. Hasn't looked anything like the same force over hurdles/fences following his switch across the sea and he now starts out for a new yard. 2 lb out of the handicap.

Form: 665368-

Karakoy^h,t²⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: Liam Harrison| T: R L Llewellyn| OR: 70

9/1

Fair winner on the Flat for Harry & Roger Charlton and cost new connections 30,000 gns in October. No promise to be taken from efforts over hurdles so far, however, including on switch to handicapping at Bangor latest. 6 lb out of the weights.

Form: 0786-9

Cofficionado (7/2), Cher Tara (5/1), Albert Park (11/2), Ingleby Mackenzie (7/1), Pittsburg (15/2), Gerard Mentor (17/2), Karakoy (9/1), Right Now (20/1), High Yield (20/1), Sarceaux (20/1), Common Acclaim (22/1), Chantilly Dragon (33/1), Strip Light (125/1)

It could be worth chancing GERARD MENTOR, who has dropped to a handy mark and showed signs of a return to form at Ludlow last time. Cofficionado and Cher Tara rate the principal dangers.
