Talented sort who produced a big effort when fourth over C&D 9 days ago despite meeting trouble. Can make his presence felt if everything drops right.

18/1, respectable fifth of 11 in handicap at Bath (5f, heavy) 48 days ago. Dropped 3 lb since and well treated on his very best form, so not discounted with a visor back on.

Useful sort who has already done his fair share of travelling for one of his age. Returned to this country with a lesser showing in Pavilion Stakes at Ascot and mark probably overestimates him.

Enjoyed a very successful 2023 campaign, scoring 4 times over 5f, and firmly back on track when third at Chester recently, not beaten far. Should be on the premises.

Looked useful when easily landing pair of 6f AW novices at the start of 2023 and ran creditably switched to handicap company for the first time when fifth of 21 here final outing. Looked in need of the run at Newmarket on return having been gelded and remains one to be interested in dropped to 5f.

Won 4 times last season. Shot back up in the weights as a result and hasn't fired yet this term.

Won 3 times in 2023, including when easily landing 9-runner event at Southwell (5f) in December. Yet to fire this term but possibly working up his fitness and he's not a forlorn hope.

Shaped as if back in form when 5½ lengths fifth of 16 to Magical Spirit in handicap at Doncaster on penultimate run but struggled in a competitive event here last time and likely up against it again.

Back-to-back wins at Haydock/Chepstow last August and shaped encouragingly after 6 months off when finishing runner-up at Wetherby (5.5f, soft) last month. Excuses both starts since and not one to write off.

Not firing towards the end of last season and is likely to strip fitter for this return, so others are more persuasive.

Lightly-raced sort who didn't get much luck in handicaps last season and was spared a hard race when fourth at Thirsk on return a week ago. Remains with potential and shouldn't be ruled out.

Veteran with an excellent record at this track but was down the field over C&D recently and looks up against it from out of the weights.
