Lynn Siddall Memorial Handicap Chase

Gained reward for several good efforts in defeat when landing Southwell handicap hurdle (24.3f) in October. Well held last 2 starts 5 months apart but shaped as if needing it 2 weeks ago. Makes chase debut (hit the frame on both starts in points).

Arrives in good order and finally off the mark over fences at Haydock at the end of March. Backed that up when runner-up at Carlisle (24.5f, heavy) next time and not disgraced back over hurdles 10 days ago. Player.

Fair maiden hurdler in Ireland for Gavin Cromwell and opened chase account over this C&D 2 years ago. Best effort since returning from a lengthy absence when third at Carlisle but below par both starts since, never seemed likely to play much of a part when falling over C&D 17 days ago.

Added to his 2 wins last season returning from 11 weeks off when coming from off the pace over C&D 10 days ago. Up 3 lb but is down in class so should go well again.

Finally gained reward for his consistency when off the mark at the 21st attempt over this C&D 17 days ago, jumping well and pulling clear with a subsequent winner. Needs considering up 6 lb.

Irish point winner who showed little in 6 hurdle starts for Laura Morgan. Made much more of an impact when second at Market Rasen (3m, good to soft) on return/chase debut on Boxing Day but jumping went to pot at Ayr on heavy ground next time. Worth another chance back on decent going.

Fair 2m winner over hurdles who got off the mark in this sphere at Sedgefield off 2 lb higher in October. Below that form since, however, and others are more appealing.

Winning pointer and successful twice over hurdles here in 2022. Has looked a bit limited over fences but not disgraced from out of the weights last 2 starts and at least able to race off proper mark now.
