Winning pointer who followed suit with a gutsy display on Rules debut over C&D recently. Penalty makes life tougher but his attitude should hold him in good stead.
Pether's Moon horse. Dam (b85), placed in bumpers/showed nothing sole start over hurdles, half-sister to fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser (stays 3m) Arthur's Quay.
Has a modest pedigree but showed up well for a long way when 2¼ lengths sixth to Takt De Touques on debut here last month, travelling well. Should get closer to that rival on better terms.
Clovis Du Berlais gelding. Dam lightly raced on Flat/in points. Not an obvious sort on paper.
£50,000 3-y-o, Soldier of Fortune gelding. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser who became temperamental (stayed 3½m) Riverside City out of 2¼m hurdle winner (stayed 2½m) Blazing Sky. Wears hood.
Shirocco gelding. Dam, unraced, closely related to Champion Hurdle winner Rock On Ruby. Appears to be stable's first string and worth chancing to make a winning start.
Schiaparelli gelding. Dam unraced, out of half-sister to winning hurdler/smart chaser Swansea Bay (best at 3m+) and winning hurdler/useful chaser Gower-Slave (best at 2½m/2¾m). Makes some appeal.
Half-brother to 3 winners but little encouragement at Down Royal 10 days ago. Would need to have learned plenty from that if he's to feature in this.

Forecasts
Cairndhu (15/8), Takt De Touques (11/4), Zainy Champ (15/2), Magna Victor (8/1), Big Storm Brewing (8/1), Whathaveyou (17/2), Kilwaughter (10/1), Fairlawn Skipper (11/1), Split Stone (16/1), Inoue (28/1)
CAIRNDHU is from the family of a Champion Hurdle winner and Brian Hughes is booked, so it's worth taking a chance that he has enough ability to make a winning start in a race that's unlikely to prove strong. Takt de Touques is an obvious player having scored in determined fashion on Rules debut here recently and Magna Victor could do better.
