Princess Alex⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: C Lee| T: K R Burke| OR: 74| D

Much improved when opening her account in a Pontefract maiden (5f) in July. Exploits proved mixed thereafter in 2023 but fitter with her reappearance under her belt when making all at Haydock last week. Big player up 5 lb.

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Jason Hart| T: J & S Quinn| OR: 72

3/1

Similar form in a quartet of 2-y-o outings, creditable third of 12 in novice event at Newcastle (7.1f), clear of rest. Off 174 days and makes handicap debut for successful yard.

8/1

Form: 51

(9)

Mysteryofthesands¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby| OR: 68

9/1

Shaped well when third on last month's reappearance. Not in the same form when fifth of 12 in maiden at Thirsk (7f, heavy, 20/1) 16 days ago but likely has a bigger performance in him now handicapping.

Form: 8-35

(7)

Korroor²³⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Tom Kiely-Marshall⁽⁷⁾| T: Miss J A Camacho| OR: 68| D

18/1

Career best when winning 11-runner nursery (3/1) at Newcastle (7.1f) on final start for Archie Watson. Up 8 lb back on turf but he's joined another good yard.

Form: 4551-

(5)

Buttercross Flyer¹⁰

7/1

Good third of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f, 9/1) 10 days ago. Can make presence felt with that promising reappearance her belt.

Form: 14266-3

(10)

Alfie Boy²²⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Sean Kirrane| T: T D Easterby| OR: 66

Form: 6076-

(4)

Cassanos Lad^v¹⁴

25/1

Cheekpieces on for first time, sixth of 8 in handicap at Pontefract (6f, heavy) 14 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Back up in trip. Visor back on and needs to prove himself on turf.

Form: U4-5636

Forecasts

Princess Alex (9/4), Puella Law (3/1), Buttercross Flyer (7/1), Kindest Nation (8/1), Midnite Runner (17/2), Mysteryofthesands (9/1), Bazball (16/1), Korroor (18/1), Cassanos Lad (25/1), Alfie Boy (28/1)

PRINCESS ALEX left her reappearance form trailing in her wake when a dominant winner at Haydock last week and a 5 lb rise may not prevent further success. Both Mysteryofthesands and Korroor appeal as likely improvers and head the opposition.
